Turkey Day 5K - Minneapolis
The Turkey Day 5K is a Thanksgiving road race through Downtown Minneapolis organized by Twin Cities in Motion. The event awards a finisher medal and presents a short city course for participants who want to run or walk on the holiday.
Race information available on the event page includes registration, pricing, packet pick up, parking, spectator support, training resources, and a downloadable course map. Registration prices increase as the event approaches and limited refund and transfer options apply. Refunds are available within 48 hours of registration; this refund policy is valid until five days before the event and online transaction fees are non-refundable. A deferral program is not offered.
Event logistics note that corrals are not assigned; participants should line up according to pace and posted signage, with a separate corral for walkers and strollers. Strollers are permitted in the 5K with a special waiver and a designated stroller bib issued at packet pick up. Pets are asked to remain on the sidelines and rejoin runners after the Finish Controlled Zone. Participants and volunteers may ride free on Metro Transit on race day with a downloadable pass. The Event Alert System uses color-coded flags to communicate weather-related conditions; flag color will be shared in pre-race communications, at packet pick up, at the start area, and on course. Parking recommendations include booking via SpotHero and noting that street parking in Downtown Minneapolis is free on Thanksgiving morning, though No-Parking restrictions apply along the route and near the start and finish areas.
