Turkey Day 5K - Minneapolis
The Turkey Day 5K is a holiday running event held through Downtown Minneapolis. The event is presented as a casual 5 kilometer route and includes a finisher medal.
Event logistics and participant services are provided for each distance, including a downloadable course map, registration details, packet pick up, parking information, and spectator support. Parking guidance notes that street parking in Downtown Minneapolis is free on Thanksgiving morning, SpotHero reservations are recommended, and there are no-parking restrictions along the route and in the start/finish area. Participants and volunteers ride free with Metro Transit on race day; a pass is available by completing the event survey.
Corrals are not preassigned. Corral 1 is intended for participants who plan to run or walk, and Corral 2 is for walkers and participants using strollers. Strollers are permitted in the 5K when indicated on registration; stroller runners must sign a waiver at packet pick up and will receive a special stroller bib. Dogs and other pets are asked to remain on the sidelines and be reunited with participants after exiting the Finish Controlled Zone.
Refunds are available within 48 hours of registration and until five days before the event; online transaction fees are nonrefundable. The event uses a color-coded Event Alert System to communicate adverse weather conditions; flag color information is shared before and during the event.
