Event Overview
The Woodbury Wobble is a community running event held on Thanksgiving morning at Colby Lake Park. The event serves as a local tradition to promote physical activity before holiday celebrations. A portion of the race profits is donated directly to the local food bank to support community food security. The event features two primary distances held on a fully marked course:
- 5 km
- 1 km (Little Wobbler)
Race Details and Participation
All registered participants in the 5 km receive a race bib, gun-timed results, post-race snacks, and a swag item. While the first 100 registered runners receive a free branded knit hat, other participants have the option to purchase one. Digital timing and bibs are available for children aged 12 and under for a reduced fee. Children participating in strollers or joining the run for fun without a bib may participate free of charge.
The 1 km Little Wobbler race takes place around Colby Lake Park, using the same start and finish lines as the main event. Participants in this shorter distance receive timed results and a wooden finisher medal.
Additional Features
The event includes a Turkey Scavenger Hunt located along the course. Children can look for hidden turkey markers to earn a small prize at the finish line. An awards ceremony follows the completion of the races. For safety reasons, pets are not permitted at the event. The race operates on a cashless basis, and day-of registration is handled electronically. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
