Fast Before the Feast
Fast Before the Feast is a Thanksgiving Day running event at White Bear Lake County Park near Minneapolis–St. Paul. The event offers multiple distances and a kids Turkey Dash, and a portion of race proceeds is donated to local food shelves and hunger-relief programs.
Distance options include:
- Turkey Dash : 0.5 mile run
- 5K : 3.1 mile run
- 10K : 6.2 mile run
Race-day packet pickup is available on Thanksgiving morning only. Race packets include a race bib, timing chip, and items such as a finisher medal and an event t-shirt when selected. Women’s shirts are fitted and run small; men’s shirts are generously sized. Registrations two weeks or less from the event may receive shirts by mail after the race and requested sizes are not guaranteed.
The course is described as scenic and well marked. Free professional photography will be on site and parking is close and free with overflow options. Strollers and leashed dogs are allowed. Awards include top overall male and female and top three in specified age groups; the Turkey Dash receives finisher medals. Winners must be present to receive awards; shipping of awards is the recipient’s responsibility. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
