Fast Before the Feast
Fast Before the Feast is a Thanksgiving Day running event held at White Bear Lake County Park near Minneapolis–St. Paul. The event offers multiple distances and a scenic, well-marked course on park roads and paths.
Distance options:
- Turkey Dash - 0.5 mile
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 10K - 6.2 miles
A portion of race proceeds is donated to local food shelves and hunger-relief programs. Race-day packet pickup is available only on the morning of the event; packets include a race bib, timing chip, a finisher medal, and an event t-shirt if the shirt option was selected. Free professional photography is provided for participants.
Parking is described as close, easy, and free with overflow parking available. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome on the course. Age-group awards are given for the top three male and female finishers in each age category, and overall male and female winners receive top overall awards. The Turkey Dash awards finisher medals rather than place awards. Awards must be claimed in person; shipping of awards is the recipient's responsibility.
