Chanhassen Turkey Trot
The Chanhassen Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning community run held in Chanhassen, Minnesota, with the start and finish at Chanhassen High School, 2200 Lyman Blvd, Chanhassen, MN 55317. The event features a chip timed 5K and a kids dash. The 5K course is almost entirely on paved trail and has a course time limit of 1 hour 20 minutes.
Event gear options include a classic t shirt or an upgraded thin tec soft polyester pullover. A Baker’s Wife donuts will be available at the finish line. Packet options note there is no event day packet pick up; participants can request packet mailing for a fee or pick up at a pre race pickup posted two weeks prior. All water stations include water and there is no gear check on site.
Results are posted after the event and aggregated into the nationwide Thankful Turkey leaderboard. Awards for the 5K are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall. Participants must sign an online waiver. Dogs are not allowed; strollers are permitted for walkers and joggers only and require a parent or guardian waiver. Live participant tracking is available through the RaceJoy app. The event supports PROP, an organization focused on food and basic needs assistance.
