Chanhassen Turkey Trot
The Chanhassen Turkey Trot is a community 5K held in Chanhassen, Minnesota, with the start and finish at Chanhassen High School, 2200 Lyman Blvd. The course is almost entirely on paved trail and is chip timed. A kids dash is included and the 5K has a course time limit of 1 hour 20 minutes.
Event gear options include a classic t-shirt or an upgrade to a thin-tec soft polyester pullover. A Baker's Wife donuts will be available at the finish. Water stations on course provide water. There is no gear check on site. Dogs are not allowed. Strollers are permitted for walkers and joggers only; stroller participants must start at the back of the starting corral and a guardian must sign a waiver on behalf of any child in a stroller.
Packet pick up options include having the packet mailed for a fee of $17 while available, or pre-race pickup on the listed pre-event days at Dick's Sporting Goods in Minnetonka. There will be no event day packet pick up. If participant gear is not picked up, a mailing fee may apply.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall for the 5K. The race is part of the nationwide Thankful Turkey series and posts results to a national leaderboard. Volunteer roles include water stations, check-in, and course marshaling; volunteers receive an event shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
