Turkey Chase - Cary
The Turkey Chase takes place in Cary, North Carolina, and offers several trail racing options for participants. The event is located at William B. Umstead State Park, with parking and check-in coordinated at RallyPoint Sports Grill in Harrison Square. A bus service provides transportation for participants to and from the race start and finish lines within the park.
Participants can choose from several in-person trail distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 13.1 miles
In addition to the trail races, there is an option for kids in strollers. Parents registered in the 5 km, 10 km, or 13.1 miles distances may push small children in a stroller, provided the child is also registered. For those who cannot attend in person, virtual versions of the 5 km, 10 km, and 13.1 miles are available. There is also an Ultra Series 65.5 miles virtual category for those completing a series of events.
Registered participants in the primary race distances receive a finishers medal and a choice of a knit hat or fleece warmer. Race results contribute to overall, age group, and course record awards. The course must be completed by all participants within a specific time window, as the course closes for all distances three hours after the first groups begin.
