Hiester Cares 5K Run-Walk
The Hiester Cares 5K Run-Walk is an athletic event organized by the Hiester Cares Foundation. The race serves as a fundraiser, with proceeds donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Since its inception four years ago, the event has seen participation from over 700 runners and has raised more than $350,000 for its cause.

The course is located entirely on the campus of Fuquay-Varina High School in North Carolina. The route primarily utilizes broad sidewalks within the school grounds. Registered participants receive a race t-shirt and a swag bag as part of their entry.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, the event recognizes the top three male and female finishers across various age categories. These groups include participants aged 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and those aged 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
