Stars, Stripes, & Strides
Stars, Stripes, & Strides is a community running event organized by Fit & Able to benefit the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7383. It takes place on November 14, 2026 at Fred G. Bond Metro Park, 801 High House Rd., Cary, NC 27513.
The event offers both in-person and virtual race options across multiple distances. Registration opened in early January 2025 for most events and deadlines vary by event; some entries close in March 2026 while others remain open into November 2026 or April 2025 depending on the race.

- 15K in-person and virtual
- 10K in-person and virtual
- 5K in-person and virtual
- Fun Mile in-person and virtual
- Kids in Strollers event with specific registration requirements
- Exhibitor participation
Entry fees listed by the organizer include in-person 5K $30, 10K $40, 15K $50, Fun Mile $20, Kids in Strollers $5, exhibitor $100, and virtual races typically $35. Stars, Stripes, & Strides provides a shirt and finishers medal for 5K, 10K, and 15K participants, guaranteed for those registered by November 1. The event also offers more than $4,000 in potential awards across overall and age group categories, plus incentives for setting new course records including a $10 gift code.
