Tunnel to Towers Climb - Tampa
Tunnel to Towers Climb in Tampa is a timed tower climb that finishes on the rooftop of the Tampa City Center at the 41st floor. The climb includes 861 steps; official timing ends on the 39th floor and two additional flights lead to the rooftop. Participants pass through one hallway on the 39th floor to transition between stairwells. The stairwell winds to the right.
There will be at least three bailout floors; exact levels will be announced on site. Water stations are located on bailout floors and three water stations will be available overall. Climbers who stop to rest are asked to stay left so faster climbers can pass on the right. Medics will be on site throughout the event.
All participants receive an event t shirt at packet pickup and a finisher medal after the climb. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Esplanade at 201 N. Franklin Street and on the event day at the venue. Groups picking up more than five packets should provide advance notice so organizers can prepare.
The event lists awards by fundraising and performance categories including top fundraising team, largest firefighter and police teams, and fastest overall and by profession. Registration is open through the day of the event, is non refundable and non transferable. Bag check is not provided and the Foundation is not responsible for personal items.
