Event Information
The Oktoberfest Run in Tampa offers several distance options: 5K, 10K, and Half-Marathon (13.1 miles). There is also a Virtual Run option and a Family 1 Mile Fun Run. The event takes place at the Riverwalk on 3rd Avenue West in Bradenton, Florida.
Race Format
This is described as a smaller, private group run with capped waves. Runners and walkers of all paces and ages are welcome, with participants under 18 requiring a guardian. The event emphasizes a stress-free, supportive setting with coordinators present. Official chip timing is not used; participants can optionally track their own time using an app and submit results online, or coordinators can help keep time.
Participant Perks
Registration includes a swag bag with items shipped to a US address. These items are a running t-shirt, a finisher's medal, a finisher's towel or giveaway, and a digital training pack. Technical running shirts are available as an optional upgrade. Race bibs are provided on the day of the event.
Logistics
Packet pickup is not required, as swag is shipped directly to participants. A final update with course maps and details is emailed the Wednesday before the race. There are multiple wave start times, filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Late runners can run upon arrival within a three-hour window after the first wave.
