The event is organized as smaller, capped waves. Waves are filled on a first come, first serve basis; a wait list and a virtual option are available when waves sell out. Participants of all ages may take part; those under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. The format is presented as a run or walk with on-site coordinators to provide support.
Timing is optional. Participants may track time with a mobile app such as Strava, RunKeeper, or similar and submit results for posting. The event does not use timing chips.
Swag and delivery details are provided in advance. Registrants receive a running T-shirt shipped within the United States, a finisher towel or giveaway, a finisher medal, and a digital training pack. Online results and a certificate of completion are available. A technical moisture-wicking shirt is available as an optional upgrade for an additional fee. Race bibs are provided on race day and swag is shipped directly to the mailing address given at registration.
