Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Medina, OH
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Medina is a community event held on September 13, 2026 at the Historic Public Square. The event commemorates the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001 and supports the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s programs to honor first responders and military personnel.

Registration categories and fees listed for the event include adult, first responders and military, youth (13 to 17 years), and child (12 & under). Online registration and day-of registration remain available until the run begins; late registrants may not receive event merchandise or guaranteed sizes. Registration fees do not count toward individual fundraising totals.
Packet pickup locations are the Medina Fire Department Station 1 at 300 W. Reagan Pkwy and the Medina Historic Public Square (north side, Liberty St.), with scheduled pickup times the two days before the event and the morning of the event. Someone else may pick up a packet with ID and a copy of the registration receipt.
On-course services and logistics include water at the fire station on the route and at the finish area, public restrooms on the northwest side of the Square, porta-johns near the fire station, and an on-site Emergency Medical Service team with radio communication. Bibs must be worn on the front of the outermost garment. Strollers, wheelchairs, firefighter turnout gear, and military backpacks are permitted, with specific corral placement and delayed starts for some participants. Awards are simple and focused on participants wearing firefighter, police, or military gear rather than age-based prizes. Results will be posted after the event. Donations are accepted for six weeks following the event, and no refunds are provided, though registrations may be transferred. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
