Tunnel to Towers 5K Run and Walk - Medina OH
The event is a 5K run and walk held at the Historic Public Square in Medina, Ohio. It is the thirteenth running of this Medina event and is organized to honor first responders, remember September 11, 2001, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation programs.
Packet pickup is available at Medina Fire Department Station 1, 300 W. Reagan Parkway, with sessions on the Friday and Saturday before the event. Additional packet pickup will be available at the north side of the Historic Public Square on the morning of the event. Day of registration remains open until the start of the run, though shirts and preferred sizes are not guaranteed for late registrants.
Several registration categories and fees are listed for adults, first responders and military, youth, and children. Registrations can be transferred to another participant but are not refundable. The registration fee does not count toward individual fundraising totals.
Participants must display their bib on the front of their outermost garment; runners without a bib will be removed from the course. Runners predicting faster paces will be seeded toward the front corral. Walkers, strollers, and participants with dogs are placed toward the rear for safety. Water is available on course at the fire station and at the finish area. An Emergency Medical Service team and radio communication will be on site. Fundraising incentives are offered and donations are accepted for six weeks after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
