Event overview
The River Run Half Marathon takes place on September 13, 2026 in Berea and Rocky River, Ohio. The event includes a 13.1-mile USATF-certified, point-to-point course that begins at Wallace Lake (Cleveland Metroparks) and finishes at Memorial Fields (Cleveland Metroparks). The route is on paved roads with a gentle downhill grade. Presented race options include an in-person half marathon, a walk division, and a Virtual Half Marathon. Minimum age to participate is 12 years.
Logistics and services
Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes September 12, 2026. Early tiered pricing is used; a virtual option has a separate fee. Every participant receives a custom race bib with MyLaps timing, a gender-cut tech shirt, and a finisher medal. Services include complimentary shuttle service from Rocky River High School (limited to 300 spots), gear check, and packet mailing or in-person pickup options (mailed packet add-on available through Aug 28). Packet pickup dates include a Hermes Sports Office session on Saturday 9/12.
Aid stations are located approximately every 2 miles (stops listed at Miles 2.5, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12), with water at every stop, Gatorade at selected stops, and CarbBoom gels at specified stations. Restrooms and EMS coverage are provided along the course and at the finish. Awards are given to top overall and age-group finishers, with age groups and masters categories defined.
