River Run Half Marathon : event overview
The River Run Half Marathon takes place on September 13, 2026, in Berea and follows a USATF certified 13.1 mile point to point route through the Rocky River Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks. The course is on paved roads with a gentle downhill grade and includes aid stations approximately every two miles supplying water, Gatorade at select stations, and CarbBoom gels at two locations. Restrooms are available at several points along the route, and EMS coverage and a medical tent are provided.
The event offers in-person and virtual options, plus a walk division. Every participant receives a custom race bib with MyLaps timing and split tracking, a gender-cut tech shirt, and a finisher medal. Complimentary shuttle service is provided from Rocky River High School with limited capacity; parking is limited near the start and none is available at the finish.
Packet pickup is available during race week with an option to have packets mailed for an additional fee; race-morning pickup may be purchased for an extra charge. Awards are given to top overall and age group finishers and will not be mailed. Minimum age to participate is 12. Online registration opens January 1 and closes the day before the race.
