Event overview
This is the third race in a Tuesday Night 5k series held by Bishops Events at Lake Accotink in Springfield, Virginia. The event awards chip timing and finisher medals; shirts will not be provided. Points from this race count toward the Weekday Race Series (one of eight events in 2026) and toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack series. Walkers are welcome. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the event. Registration fee for the 5k is $22, with a higher price on race day.

The course runs from Lake Accotink to Byron Avenue and is a flat, paved out-and-back route. One water station is placed at about mile 1.55; Gatorade may be available at some water stations. Restrooms are located at the top of the hill near the beach. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and via a race QR code; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Photos taken by staff are posted after the event. The event is managed as an all-weather race; officials may delay, change, or postpone the event if needed.
