The Fallen Soldiers Memorial race takes place on May 25, 2026, in Great Falls Park, Maryland (MD 20854). The event offers the following distances:

Points from this race count toward the organizer’s Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Spring Series. A virtual race option is available. The race partners with the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation. Race registration does not include the park entrance fee.
Course and logistics
All routes run along the C&O Canal on a light gravel dirt road with minimal elevation change in out-and-back layouts. Packet pickup is available at the event; runners are advised to arrive early to check in. There will be no on-site race registration for this event. Restrooms are available in the facility by the roundabout.
Water stations are provided: seven stations on the half marathon course, four on the 10k, and one on the 5k. Gatorade will be available at some water stations. Live results will be posted during the race on a results service, and a QR code at the event will allow immediate access to results.
Amenities and awards
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered before May 13. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women overall and to 1st and 2nd place in standard age groups from 19 & Under through 70+. Photos taken by staff are posted after the event.
