Event overview
The Tuesday Night 5k #1 takes place on March 10, 2026 at Wakefield Park in Annandale, VA. The event distance is 5k and points count toward the Weekday Race Series (1 of 8 events in 2026) and the Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series. The race is chip timed and finishers receive a medal; shirts will not be provided. Walkers are welcome.
Course and logistics
The course is mostly on paved paths with a short section of light gravel. The route is mostly flat with minimal hills and is run as an out-and-back (the 5k and 10k are both out-and-backs). One water station is located at approximately mile 1.55; Gatorade will be available at some water stations. Restrooms are located in the rec center. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. Parking is available at Wakefield Park near the Audrey Moore RECenter (8100 Braddock Rd). GPS pin: 38.818273, -77.223964.
Results, photos and policies
Live results are posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. A QR code will link to live results at the event. Photos taken by staff are posted on the organizer’s Facebook page by the Tuesday after the event. The event operates in all-weather conditions; officials may delay, change or postpone the event if needed. Registration fee listed for the 5k is $22 and increases by $5 on race day.
