2026 PVTC Easter Classic 5K and 10K
The PVTC Easter Classic is a community running event organized by the Potomac Valley Track Club as part of the Ed Barron Holiday Series. The event takes place at Bluemont Park in Arlington, Virginia. Participants can choose between two main distances:
- 5 km run and race walk
- 10 km run
The course is primarily flat with a few minor hills and consists of paved roads. The 5 km features an out and back segment, while the 10 km completes the out and back course twice. The route is designed to be walker and wheelchair-friendly.
Participants can collect their race packets on the morning of the event at the designated on-site pickup location. Registration is open to both members of the Potomac Valley Track Club and non-members. The event has a field size of approximately 100 participants for each race distance. All participants must complete their respective distances within the designated timeframe.
Ample free parking is available for attendees at the Bluemont Park North Shelter locations and nearby at Ashlawn Elementary School. Following the conclusion of the races, refreshments are provided for the participants. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers and the top three in 10-year age groups for both men and women across both distances.
