TSUNAMI Ocean Trails
TSUNAMI Ocean Trails is a series of trail races along a rugged section of the North Devon and Cornish coastline. Routes follow clifftops and coastal footpaths between coastal start points and a common finish at Bude, with sections that are remote and without settlements along the route.
The marathon starts at Clovelly harbour and finishes on the lawns of Castle Bude, and includes an uphill cobbled section through the village to reach the Coast Path. The marathon route includes almost 2,000 m of ascent. The ultra extends the marathon route by about 11 miles. The sixteen-mile course includes the steep, exposed section from Hartland Quay to Bude.
Course provision and services:
- Fully marked and marshalled courses.
- First aid provision on course and at the event headquarters.
- A bespoke finisher medal for all finishers.
- Dogs are not permitted with runners during the race due to insurance and permit limits.
Transport to start points can be purchased as part of entry, with paid bus options from Castle Bude to each start. Entries open 27 June 2025 and close 3 June 2026.
