TSUNAMI Ocean Trails : Saturday 6 June 2026

Organised by OuterEdge Events, this trail running event takes place along a rugged section of the North Devon and Cornish coastline. There are three race options with varying distances and routes that follow clifftops and coastal trails between historic coastal points.

  • ~37 miles (Ultra: Westward Ho! to Bude)
  • Marathon (Clovelly to Bude)
  • 16 miles (Hartland Quay to Bude)

Course and event services

The marathon starts at Clovelly harbour, runs uphill on cobbled streets to the Coast Path and finishes on the lawns of Castle Bude; the marathon route includes almost 2,000 m of ascent. The ultra extends the marathon route by about 11 miles. The 16-mile route includes a steep, exposed section from Hartland Quay toward Bude. The terrain is described as wild and remote, with long stretches without towns or villages and substantial ascents and descents.

Courses are fully marked and marshalled. First aid is available on course and at headquarters. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Bus transport from Castle Bude to the various start locations and event merchandise are available for purchase as part of entry. Entries are managed through the event organiser’s entry system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
