Event overview

TSUNAMI Ocean Trails takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026 on the North Devon and Cornish coastline. The event is organised by OuterEdge Events and uses clifftops and cliff trails between Westward Ho!, Clovelly, Hartland Quay and Bude. The terrain is described as rugged, wild and remote.

Race distances

  • ~37 miles: Westward Ho! to Bude (Ultra)
  • Marathon: Clovelly to Bude
  • 16 miles: Hartland Quay to Bude

Course and support

The Marathon route includes almost 2,000 m of ascent. The Ultra route adds a further 11 miles beyond the marathon route. Courses are fully marked and marshalled. Checkpoints are staffed and stocked, and first aid is provided on course and at headquarters. Dogs are not permitted during the races. All finishers receive a bespoke Tsunami medal. Entry and logistics

Entries open 27 June 2025 and close 3 June 2026. Bus transport to the starts can be purchased from Castle Bude: Ultra £15, Marathon £12, 16 Mile £12. The event holds a Trail Running Association race permit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
