Trudy Dunbar Memorial 5K Turkey Trot and 1 Mile Gobbler Trot
The Trudy Dunbar Memorial 5K Turkey Trot and 1 Mile Gobbler Trot is an annual running event in Tarrytown, New York, organized by Tarrytown Recreation on November 22, 2026. The event uses routes along the Hudson riverwalk toward the Sleepy Hollow lighthouse and back, with start and check-in activity centered at Pierson Park and the Tarrytown Senior Building at 240 W Main St.
Distances:
- 1 Mile: Ages 7-9, route to Horan's Landing and back.
- 5K: Ages 10 and up, riverwalk from Losee Field to Kingsland Park and back.
The 5K is divided into age groups: 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and up. Division winners receive a prize turkey.
Registration opens July 31, 2026 at noon. For the 5K, regular registration closes October 31, 2026; the 1 Mile registration remains open through the event day. Entry fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile. Participants registered by October 31 receive a t-shirt and early bird pricing; starting November 1 fees increase and t-shirts are no longer provided.
