Head for the Hilltop 5K + Kids Fun Run
The event takes place at Hilltop Hanover Farm & Environmental Center in Yorktown Heights, NY. It is a fundraiser for the Friends of Hilltop Hanover Farm & Environmental Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Hilltop Hanover Farm is a historic, working farm on 187 acres that focuses on sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, community education, and accessible food systems. At least 25% of the farm's produce is donated to local food access partners.
The program includes two running events:
- 5K trail run around the farm
- Kids Fun Run for children 6 years and under
All 5K participants receive a $5 credit to use in the Farm Stand on the day of the race. Early bird pricing applies through September 30. Listed entry fees before and after that date are:
- 5K entry: $30 early bird, $40 after September 30
- Kids Fun Run entry: $5 early bird, $10 after September 30
The Kids Fun Run passes through the farm's growing fields and is intended for families and young children. The 5K course is on trails around the farm and is described as providing views of the property. The event supports the farm's operations and its community food access work.
