Peter K. Oley Turkey Trot
The Peter K. Oley Turkey Trot is a community road race held in Irvington, New York, on November 22, 2026. The event uses a 2.5 mile course that starts by Dows Lane Elementary School at 6 Dows Lane, loops through the village, and finishes just off the Aqueduct in Memorial Park. The course mixes hills, dales, paved roads, dirt and grass.
The race has been held annually since 1978. The event is named for a longtime Irvington track coach whose teams won a combined 27 Section 1 titles and whose coaching career spanned five decades.
Registration details differ for residents and non-residents. Registration opens September 16 at noon and closes November 21 at noon. There is no race day registration. Bib and T-shirt pickup is held at the school between 12:45 and 1:30 on race day.
Entry fees and age tiers are provided separately for Irvington residents and non-residents; youth and adult price tiers apply. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to age-group winners in these categories: 10 & under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over.
