Truckee Half Marathon and Truckee 5K - Event overview
The Truckee Half Marathon and Truckee 5K take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026. This is the ninth annual running of the event. Both races start and finish in Historic Downtown Truckee. Packet pickup, vendor check-in, volunteer check-in, the start area and post-race awards and festivities are based at Alibi Ale Truckee.

The course surface is a mixture of pavement and dirt and uses roads and Truckee’s trail system. The course highlights several local locations in and around Truckee. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and in five-year age categories. The event includes an event t-shirt, a finishing medal, race recovery nutrition, and post-event festivities with music and cold beverages, including Alibi Ale and non-alcoholic options.
Registration fees vary by date and onsite pricing. Fee tiers listed are:
- Half Marathon: $100 (by 3/31), $105 (by 7/31), $115 onsite.
- Half Marathon Youth/Senior: $90, $95, $105.
- 5K: $60, $65, $70.
- 5K Youth/Senior: $55, $60, $65.
