Olympic Valley Half Marathon, 8 Miler, and 5K
The event offers three distances that start and finish at the Village at Palisades Tahoe, the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. The courses are described as relatively fast and flat and run mainly along paved trails through the valley and along the Truckee River.

The route is an out and back layout with scenic valley and river views. Wildlife sightings reported along the course include bald eagles, mule deer, and trout in the river. Aid stations are placed along the course and are stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, fruit, and snacks. Medical staff are present for the event.
Packet pickup and onsite registration are scheduled the evening before and on the morning of the event, with online registration available through June 12, 2026; onsite registration may be offered if the event is not sold out. Entry fees vary by distance and by registration period, with higher prices for onsite registration.
Included with registration are an event T shirt, snacks, a finisher medal, a free digital photo, and access to beer for participants 21 years or older. Awards are given by age group and overall. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
