The Great Ski Race 2027
The Great Ski Race is a nordic ski event held at the Tahoe Cross Country Center in Tahoe City, CA on March 7, 2027. The event offers two looped course options and both courses start and finish at the Tahoe Cross Country Center.

- 10 km loop
There is a noncompetitive Tour Wave that follows the 26 km course; this wave is not timed and has no posted online race results. Tour Wave entry is limited to the first 35 participants and participants in this wave are expected to know the course and yield to faster racers.
Both the 10 km and 26 km races are followed by a finish line party with food and live music. Awards are given for overall times for men and women and by age groups, including 9 and under, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, and 20-29 with additional decades above that.
The Great Ski Race is the main fundraising event for Tahoe Nordic Search & Rescue, a non-profit all-volunteer organization. Race proceeds are used primarily to purchase equipment and to support winter survival and avalanche education programs. Registration is capped at 800 participants, registration fees increase closer to race day, and refunds are not available because this is a fundraiser.
