The races use coastal courses in Rockport and Gloucester. The half marathon is open to ages 18 and older; the 5K is open to ages 10 and older. The event is listed as a USATF sanctioned event. Race location and central activity are at Rockport High School, 24 Jerdens Lane, Rockport, MA 01966.
Logistics and race features
Parking is available at Rockport Park and Ride (124 Main St) with free shuttle buses to the start, and additional parking at Rockport High School (about 150 spots) and near Rockport Train Station. Street parking can be paid with the Passport Parking app. Bag check is not available. RaceJoy is provided for live GPS tracking and progress alerts; runners must carry and activate their phone to use it.
On-course support: the half marathon has six aid stations with water roughly every two miles and portable restrooms near miles 4.5 and 8; the 5K has a water station near mile 2 and water at the finish. A short unpaved section of about 1/4 mile appears near miles 3.5 and 9.5 on the half marathon course. Finisher medals are provided to all finishers; awards for top three male and female in five-year age groups must be picked up at the awards tent and will not be mailed.
