Festivus 5K for Autism : Salem, MA
Festivus 5K for Autism is the 15th running on December 13, 2026 in historic downtown Salem, Massachusetts. The event raises funds for the Northshore Education Consortium to purchase technologies and support educational programs for children with autism. Over fourteen years the race has raised more than $325,000.
The race course begins and ends on Derby Street and is described as a fast, flat route with one water stop. Race day registration takes place at Finz Seafood & Grill, 86 Wharf Street, Salem, MA, and packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, December 12, 2026 at New England Running Company, 43 Enon Street, Beverly, MA. Public parking is available in lots, garages, and on streets.
Entry fees are listed as $35 in advance and $40 on race day. Race shirts are provided to the first 400 applicants, with sizes not guaranteed. Awards include Festivus pole trophies for overall male and female finishers, age-group awards to top three finishers, a team award based on the average time of the top five teammates that must include one female runner, and best costume awards for male and female.
