Happy Holidays Half MerryThon & 5K : Gloucester, MA
The Happy Holidays Half MerryThon & 5K takes place on December 7, 2025 at Good Harbor Beach, 100 Thatcher Road, Gloucester, MA. The event includes two distances:
- 5K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles, USATF certified)
The course runs along the coastline and offers ocean views. There is a short unpaved section of about 1/4 mile near mile 2.5 and 10.5 on the half marathon. Roads remain open to traffic and local police will monitor the route.
Logistics and race features
Parking is available at the start/finish area. Bib and race swag are available on race day only; bag check is not provided. The 5K has an aid station near mile 1. The half marathon has six aid stations near miles 1, 2.5, 5.5, 7.5, 10.5 and 12, and portable restrooms are provided at the start/finish and along the course. All finishers receive finisher medals; top three male and female finishers in each age group receive awards (age groups listed in five-year bands). Per USATF rules, gun times are used for scoring and awards will not be mailed. Additional features include on-course hydration, finish-line refreshments, free race photos, RaceJoy GPS tracking, volunteer free entries, and team discounts for groups of ten or more.
