New Year's Day Hangover Classic
The WCRC New Year's Day Hangover Classic is a pair of road races held on January 1 at Salisbury Beach, MA. The event comprises two distances, run from the same start line and finishing on the same line with chip timing.

Both courses are flat and entirely on beachfront roads with no beach running. Many participants choose to take a post-race ocean plunge. A post-race gathering at the beach includes music, beer, and food across multiple nearby venues.
Pre-race bib pickup and post-race services such as water, snacks, and medal distribution are hosted at the Salisbury Beach Carousel, 7 Broadway, Salisbury, MA 01952. The carousel is the historic attraction and not the bar or lounge. Riders with a race bib, and children accompanied by a runner with a bib, may use the carousel free of charge. Additional post-race food, beer, and music will be available at Sin a Loa. The Carousel Lounge will be open that day but will not host official race activities.
Proceeds from the event support the Winner’s Circle Running Club, a USATF certified, RRCA affiliate and 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and fund the club’s charitable activities and youth and adult running programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
