New Year's Day Hangover Classic
The New Year's Day Hangover Classic is an annual road race event held at Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts. Organized by the Winner’s Circle Running Club, the event offers 2 distinct distances that start and finish at the same location using chip timing for all participants.
Available distances include:
- 5K road race
- 10K road race
The courses are situated entirely on beachfront roads and are described as flat and fast. Although the routes remain on paved roads rather than the sand, the coastal location allows participants the option to take an ocean plunge after completing their run.
The venue features a post-race gathering at the beach that includes music and beer. Proceeds from the event support various charitable activities as well as youth and adult running programs managed by the Winner’s Circle Running Club. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit and a USATF certified affiliate of the RRCA, the club programs are designed to provide opportunities for participation in the sport of running.
