WCRC New Year's Day Hangover Classic - Salisbury Beach

The event features two road races held on New Year’s Day at Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts. The Winner’s Circle Running Club stages both a 10K and a 5K on beachfront roads; the courses are entirely on paved beachfront roads and do not include running on the beach. Both races start from the same line and finish at the same line, with start and finish chip timing in place. Course maps are provided separately for the 10K and 5K.

After the races there is an informal post-race gathering on the beach that includes music and beer; many participants take an ocean plunge following the race. Proceeds support the charitable activities and the youth and adult running programs of the Winner’s Circle Running Club. The WCRC is a USATF certified, affiliate member of the RRCA and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to provide access and opportunity for people to participate in the sport of running.
