WCRC New Year's Day Hangover Classic : Salisbury Beach, MA
The WCRC New Year’s Day Hangover Classic is scheduled for January 1, 2026 in Salisbury Beach, MA. The event comprises two road races held on beachfront roads: a 10K and a 5K. Both races start simultaneously from the same line and finish on the same line, with start and finish chip timing. The courses are described as flat and run entirely on beachfront roads - no beach running.

Entry for each event is listed at $40, with the price increasing after December 24, 2025. Race entry fees are non-refundable. Course maps for both the 10K and 5K are provided as downloadable PDF files.
Organization and event details
The race is organized by the Winner’s Circle Running Club. Proceeds will benefit the club’s charitable activities and its youth and adult running programs. The WCRC is USATF certified, an affiliate member of the RRCA, and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. A post-race party with music and beer is planned at a location to be determined. Many participants choose to take a post-race ocean plunge. The race is planned to proceed in January weather unless roads are closed by police; in the race’s 44-year history, police road closures have not occurred.
