Event
The Triple Crown Trot 5K takes place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Versailles, KY at Coolmore America’s Ashford Stud (McCracken Pike entrance, Fire Gate 19). The main competition is a chip-timed 5K road race held entirely inside Ashford Stud. The route passes the historic office and stallion barn and goes by the foaling barn, with yearlings visible in paddocks along the course. Pets are not allowed.

Registration for the 5K and a non-running "Scratched" option opens March 1, 2026 at 12:00 am EST. Tiered pricing is listed as $35 (March 1-31), $45 (April 1 - June 30), and $55 (July 1 - August 22). Participants may select "Skip the Shirt" to save $5. Shirts cannot be guaranteed after July 31. Team entries offer a $5 refund per person when a fifth member joins the team. Race-day registration is available.
Age divisions are 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. The top three overall male and female finishers receive one-of-a-kind wire thoroughbred sculptures. All proceeds benefit Woodford Humane Society.
The course includes a short stretch of grass; strollers are accommodated if suitable for that surface. Packet pick-up information will be posted closer to race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
