Triple Crown Trot 5K
The Triple Crown Trot 5K takes place Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Coolmore America's Ashford Stud in Versailles, KY. It is a chip-timed road race with a route that stays entirely inside Ashford Stud, running from the historic office and stallion barn to the foaling barn and beyond. Yearlings may be visible in paddocks along the course.
Proceeds benefit Woodford Humane Society. Participants may run or walk at their own pace. Strollers are accommodated but the course includes a short stretch of grass; pets are not permitted for the safety of the horses.
The event offers a 5K run and a "Scratched" registration option for people who want race items and to support the charity without running. Shirts cannot be guaranteed after July 31. Top three male and female finishers in each age division receive medals; top three overall male and female finishers receive unique wire thoroughbred sculptures created by a local artist.
Age divisions cover a wide range, for example 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29 and so on through 80+. Registration fees increase by date ranges listed by the organizer, and participants can choose to skip the race shirt for a reduced fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
