Triple Crown Trot 5K
The Triple Crown Trot 5K is a chip timed road race held inside Coolmore America's Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky. The route runs entirely within the stud grounds, passing the historic office and stallion barn, the foaling barn, and paddocks where yearlings may be present along the course.
The course is primarily paved road but includes a short stretch of mowed grass. Strollers are allowed if they can handle the grass section. For the safety of the horses, pets are not permitted. Walkers are asked to complete the course within 90 minutes so the hosts can resume normal activities.
Registration information available in the event details lists an entry fee of $35.00 and registration opening on February 28 with a stated closing on March 30. Race tees are guaranteed for participants registered by July 31; after that date shirt availability is on a first come, first served basis. A virtual option labeled "Scratched" is offered for people who wish to support the event without running; virtual registrants receive race goods but do not receive a bib.
Age divisions are provided from 0-9 through 80+, and medals are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each age group. Proceeds benefit the Woodford Humane Society. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
