The Triple Crown Trot 5K takes place Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Coolmore America’s Ashford Stud in Versailles, KY. The event includes a 5K chip-timed road race and a "Scratched" registration option for supporters who do not race but receive event items. The course runs entirely inside Ashford Stud, passing the historic office, stallion barn, and foaling barn, with yearlings visible in paddocks. The course contains a short stretch of grass. Strollers are allowed if they can handle the grass section. Pets are not permitted. All proceeds benefit the Woodford Humane Society.
Logistics and awards
Registration opens March 1, 2026. Early pricing: $35 (March 1-31), $45 (April 1 - June 30), $55 (July 1 - August 22). Selecting "Skip the Shirt" reduces the fee by $5. Team discount: when a team reaches five members, each member receives $5 back. Shirts cannot be guaranteed after July 31. Post-race shirt and medal pick-up from a local shelter is available for unclaimed items; unclaimed shirts may be redistributed after the stated deadline. Age divisions run from 0-9 through 80+. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. The top three overall male and female finishers receive wire thoroughbred sculptures made by a local artist.
