Woodford County Santa Shuffle 5K & Kids' Elf Dash
The Woodford County Santa Shuffle is the fifth annual holiday running event held in downtown Versailles, Kentucky on December 5, 2026. The event program includes a 5K Run/Walk, a free Kids' Elf Dash for children, a virtual runner or walker option, and volunteer opportunities. Packet pickup takes place at the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce and there is race morning packet pickup in downtown Versailles.
The 5K is a chip timed road course on paved downtown streets. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers and in five year age groups with first through third places recognized. Walkers, strollers, and dogs on fixed length leashes are allowed in the 5K. The Kids' Elf Dash is an untimed 400 yard run for ages 2 to 10; participants receive a medal and may purchase a commemorative shirt for an additional fee. The virtual entry covers the same 3.1 mile distance and includes mailing of the commemorative shirt; virtual participation is available from anywhere in the United States.
Other event features include commemorative race shirts, free race photos, a DJ, a prize for the largest social team, and a Best Dressed contest with prizes.
