About the race
The Woodford County Santa Shuffle is a community race day held in downtown Versailles, Kentucky on December 5, 2026. The event includes a chip-timed 5K on paved downtown streets, a free untimed Kids' Elf Dash, and a virtual 5K option. Awards are presented for top overall finishers and in 5-year age groups for the 5K; walkers, strollers, and dogs on fixed-length leashes are permitted on the course.
Race features include commemorative race shirts, free race photos, a DJ, a prize for the largest social team, and a Best Dressed contest with prizes. The Kids' Elf Dash is a roughly 400-yard run for children ages 2 to 10 and includes a participation medal; a commemorative shirt is available to purchase for an additional fee. A packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce offices in Versailles.
The event benefits two local charities: Cops For Kids Inc. and the Jeri Hartley Foundation. Volunteer roles are available for race day shifts and include a commemorative race shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
