The Triboro Adventure Tour
The Triboro Adventure Tour was founded in 2018 and starts and finishes in Astoria, Queens at 2923 24th Ave, Astoria, NY 11102. The course takes participants through three boroughs: Queens, Manhattan (East Harlem) and the Bronx (South Bronx), and uses Randall’s Island and the Triborough Bridge.
Participants must visit five checkpoints shown on the event map. Checkpoints may be reached in any order, so route choice and navigation are part of the event. The total distance is approximately 12 miles. The event offers two categories: Runner and Biker. The Runner category is open to ages 18 to 70.
The course is not closed to traffic and participants compete at their own risk. Bib and packet pickup are scheduled for the day of the race at the start location and full pickup details are provided to registered participants before the event. Overall top male and female finishers receive cash awards. Every finisher who completes the course receives a custom medal and a custom race singlet. Post race provisions for finishers include beer, pizza and an event beverage called Thunder Punch, and raffles for goody bags, shirts and other items follow the awards.
