The Triboro Adventure Tour
The Triboro Adventure Tour is an urban checkpoint race founded in 2018 that starts and finishes in Astoria, Queens. The route crosses the Triborough Bridge and takes participants through Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx, including South Bronx, East Harlem and Randall's Island. The organizer describes the total distance as approximately 12 miles.
The event uses five mapped checkpoints. To complete the race, participants must visit all five checkpoints in any order they choose. Navigation and route choice are part of the competition and will affect finishing times.
Two event categories are offered: a running event and a bike race. Registration details listed by the organizer:
- Runner registration opens 2026-09-05 and closes 2027-06-05, fee $60.
- Biker registration opens 2026-09-13 and closes 2027-09-03, fee $50.
Awards and postrace provisions are noted. Overall male and female top finishers receive cash awards. Each finisher receives a custom medal and a custom race singlet. Finishers are offered free beer, pizza and an item called AG's special THUNDER PUNCH. Raffles for goody bags, beer and shirts follow the overall awards.
Bib and packet pickup takes place on race day at the start location; registered participants receive full pickup information prior to the event. The race course is not closed to traffic and participants compete at their own risk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
