Triple Borough Adventure
The Triboro Adventure Tour is a multi-discipline event that takes participants through three boroughs: Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx. Starting and finishing in Astoria, Queens, the route traverses the South Bronx, East Harlem, and Randall’s Island. A central feature of the course is crossing the Triborough Bridge.
This event is designed as a navigational challenge where participants choose their own path. To complete the course successfully, athletes must reach five specific checkpoints designated on the event map. The order in which these checkpoints are visited is up to the individual, meaning strategy and planning are as significant as physical pace. While the precise distance depends on the chosen route, the total distance is approximately 13.1 miles for runners.
The course remains open to public traffic during the event. Participants are responsible for their own navigation and safety throughout the tour. The event offers categories for different types of athletes:
- Runner: 13.1 miles
- Biker: Distance not specified
Finishers receive a custom medal and a race singlet. Post-event activities at the finish area in Astoria include refreshments such as beer and pizza. Awards are provided for the top overall male and female finishers, and raffles featuring items from sponsors are held following the awards ceremony. Registration includes a bib and packet, which are distributed on the day of the event at the starting location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
