The Triboro Adventure Tour
The Triboro Adventure Tour is an urban endurance event that starts and finishes in Astoria, Queens, and routes participants through Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx via the Triborough Bridge. Founded in 2018, the event moves through South Bronx, East Harlem and Randall’s Island and uses an off the beaten path route across multiple boroughs.
Participants must visit five mapped checkpoints to complete the course; checkpoints may be visited in any order, so route choice and race strategy affect finish time as much as pace. The total route is approximately 12 miles. The course is not closed to traffic; participants take part at their own risk.
There are separate entries for runners and bikers. The runner entry lists an age range of 18 to 70. Overall male and female top finishers receive cash awards. Every finisher who completes the course receives a custom medal and a custom race singlet. Post race provisions listed for finishers include beer, pizza and a beverage labeled THUNDER PUNCH, and there are raffles for goody bags, beer and shirts after the awards.
Bib and packet pickup are handled on the day of the event at the start location, with full pickup instructions provided to registered participants before race day. The event location is 2923 24th Ave, Astoria, NY 11102, US. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
