TRI for Real Triathlon #2
The TRI for Real Triathlon #2 takes place at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, California. This event is part of a three-race series held throughout the summer months. The Olympic-distance competition and the Aquabike category are USA Triathlon sanctioned, while the Super Sprint Triathlon is a non-USAT sanctioned event.
Participants can choose from several different race formats and distances:
- Tri for Real Triathlon: 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run
- Aquabike: 1.5 km swim and 40 km bike
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 200 yard swim, 4 mile bike, and 1 mile run
- Relay Teams: Available for the Olympic-distance triathlon
Athletes receive a swim cap, commemorative finisher piece, and post-race refreshments. Those who complete all three Olympic-distance events in the series are eligible for the Series Championship prizes, which are awarded across five-year age groups for men and women.
The event site at Rancho Seco Park requires a 15-dollar park entrance fee per vehicle. Access to the park is restricted for a thirty-minute window during the morning due to bike course closures for the Super Sprint event. Packet pick-up is organized at the race site on the morning of the competition. The event is held regardless of weather conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
