Tri for Real Triathlon, Aquabike and Super Sprint Triathlon #2
The event takes place Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, California (14440 Twin Cities Blvd). The TRI for REAL Series is USAT-sanctioned for 2026; the aquabike is also sanctioned and the super sprint triathlon is non-USAT. Each athlete receives a swim cap, post-race refreshments, and a commemorative finisher piece.
Distances include:
- Super Sprint Tri: 200 yd swim, 4 mi bike, 1 mile run
- Tri for Real: 1.5K swim, 40K bike, 10K run
- Aquabike: 1.5K swim, 40K bike
The transition area is first-come except for reserved club racks, is for athletes only, and requires bodymarking at the entrance. Glass and bottles are not allowed in transition. Aid stations are located in transition, at the run start, and at miles 1, 2.5, 3.5, and 5.2 on the run course offering cold water, energy gels, and FLUID electrolyte beverage.
Expected lake water temperature is 72-76 degrees; wetsuits are optional. Swim fins and snorkels are not allowed. Helmets must be worn and buckled while on the bike. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line. Listening devices are not allowed. Packet pickup occurs on race morning at the race site.
Divisions include age groups, Athena and Clydesdale, relays, and challenged categories. Series champions receive custom apparel and hydration flasks. Series finishers are entered into a raffle with prize certificates from Rancho Enduro Sports and Total Body Fitness. Parking at Rancho Seco Park is $15 per car; exact change is preferred.
