TRI for FUN Triathlon #2
The TRI for FUN series returns to Herald, California, for its 43rd year. Hosted at Rancho Seco Park, this multisport event offers participants concrete options for both triathlon and duathlon formats. The venue features a lake for the swimming portion, paved roads for cycling, and dirt trails for the running segments.
Participants can choose from several individual or relay team categories:
- TRI for FUN Triathlon: A 1/2 mile swim, 16 mile bike, and 3 mile run.
- DU for FUN Duathlon: A 1 mile run, 16 mile bike, and 3 mile run.
- Relay Teams: Available for both the triathlon and duathlon events.
The event includes age group awards for the top three finishers in 10-year increments for the triathlon. Relay team awards are presented to the top three teams in coed, female, and male divisions. All participants receive a finisher item and post-race refreshments. Commemorative race t-shirts are available for purchase when ordered in advance.
The race site is located at Rancho Seco Park, where a vehicle entrance fee is required. Race packets are distributed on-site on the morning of the event.
