TRI for FUN Triathlon and DU for FUN Duathlon
The TRI for FUN Triathlon and DU for FUN Duathlon take place at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, California. The event uses the park lake for the swim, a road bike course, and a dirt trail run.
- TRI for FUN: 1/2 mile swim - 16 mile bike - 3 mile run
- DU for FUN: 1 mile run - 16 mile bike - 3 mile run
All racers receive a TFF finisher item and post-race refreshments, and awards are presented in the listed divisions. Commemorative race t-shirts are available for $20 when ordered before July 7th.
Divisions include 10-year age groups for the triathlon, male and female duathlon categories, Athena and Clydesdale classifications, relay teams in Male, Female and Coed formats, and a Challenged category. Triathlon awards go to the top three finishers in each 10-year age group. Duathlon awards are given to the top five overall male and female finishers. Relay team awards are presented to the top three teams in Coed, Female, and Male divisions.
TBF Racing operates a no refund policy. Refund requests before race week are issued as TBF Race credit for the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee; credits are not given during race week. Transfers between TBF Racing events are allowed within one year for a $25 fee and are not permitted during race week. All events are held rain or shine.
Packet pickup is available on race morning at the race site. Park entry is temporarily restricted for a TRI for KIDS event; vehicles may park and walk approximately one mile or wait until the road reopens. Rancho Seco Park street address is 14440 Twin Cities Blvd, Herald, CA 95638. The parking fee at the park is $15 per car and exact change is preferred.
