Race to Slow the Pace
The Race to Slow the Pace is an annual trail run organized by California Farmland Trust at Bokisch Vineyards in Lodi, CA. The event is held on vineyard trails and highlights working farmland, habitat, and open space.
The race offers two measured course options over natural surfaces and through vineyard scenery:
- 5K trail course
- 10K trail course
The event is family, stroller and pet friendly. Participants move through vineyard rows and nearby habitat, which the organizer describes as a way to connect people with nature, the local community, and the farms that produce food. The race supports the California Farmland Trust mission to protect farmland and to emphasize slowing the pace of development to preserve agricultural land.
The event is presented in partnership with a family foundation. The next scheduled edition is on September 13, 2026, at Bokisch Vineyards in Lodi, California. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
