Race to Slow the Pace
The Race to Slow the Pace is an annual trail running event held at Bokisch Vineyards in Lodi, California. Organized in partnership with the California Farmland Trust, the event aims to connect participants with the environment and local agriculture. The course leads participants through a working vineyard, showcasing the habitat and open spaces provided by farmland.
Available distances include:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
The course consists of dirt trails with uneven terrain and slight hills. The event is open to runners and walkers and is designed to be family, stroller, and pet friendly. Registration fees for the 5K and 10K events include a custom race bib, a finisher medal, and race swag. Participants who complete the course also receive a paella brunch and a glass of wine, though wine service is restricted to individuals 21 years of age or older.
Awards are presented to overall winners by gender and overall master winners aged 50 and over. Recognition is also provided for gender-based age categories ranging from 18 and under to 70 and over. In addition to the running events, tickets are available for a brunch only option or a brunch and wine tasting package for non-participants.
