The event uses wave starts of eight participants and a timed format where each wave starts and ends each segment together. The competition format consists of a 10-minute swim in a shallow pool, a 10-minute transition, a 20-minute bike session on spin bikes, a 5-minute transition, and a 15-minute run on treadmills. Each participant receives a scorecard at check-in; volunteers record completed distances, participants initial their card, and rankings are determined by points assigned for distances in each discipline (lower total points wins). Prizes include merchandise for Overall Male and Female and award pins for the top three Male and Female finishers in each age group. Participants are provided a race-branded LED headlamp flashlight, post-race refreshments, and access to venue amenities such as showers, a hot tub, and towel service.
