Event
The Tri Faster Indoor Triathlon is an indoor multi-sport event held at the Wisconsin Athletic Club (WAC) in Greenfield, WI. The event is described as the 10th annual edition and is scheduled for February 15. Registration details on the event page list an entry fee of $55 and show the event is open to ages 12 to 100.
Format and scoring
The event uses a wave format with eight participants per wave and a timed format so waves start and end each segment together. Each athlete completes three segments in sequence: a swim in a shallow pool, a bike on spin bikes, and a run on a treadmill. Segment durations are set as 10 minutes for the swim, a 10-minute transition, 20 minutes for the bike, a 5-minute transition, and 15 minutes for the run. Volunteers record completed distances on a scorecard that participants initial and return. Participants are ranked by distance achieved in each segment; lower total points from those rankings determine overall placement.
Awards and amenities
Merchandise prizes are listed for Overall Male and Female. Award pins are given to the top three Male and Female finishers in each age group. Each participant receives a race-branded LED headlamp flashlight and post-race refreshments. The venue offers spectator-friendly facilities including showers, a hot tub, and towel service.
