Trent Waldron Half Marathon & 10K
The Trent Waldron Half Marathon and 10K is offered as both an in-person event on May 23, 2026 and virtual events held May 14 to May 31, 2026. The in-person race is based at Margaret Eagan Sullivan Park and Westchester Lagoon in Anchorage.

The half marathon is an out-and-back course along the Chester Creek and University trails with the start and finish at Westchester Lagoon. The course is described as relatively flat with a gradual uphill on the outbound leg and is USTAF certified (AK25002FW). Aid stations are located at miles 3, 5.5, 7.5 and 10. The 10K uses the same start and finish; its turnaround is adjacent to the Davenport Park ball fields, just east of the Lake Otis underpass. The event enforces a finish cut off time of 12:00 Noon.
Virtual participants may run on a course of their choice and must follow pedestrian and road rules; medals for virtual entries will be mailed within 45 days. Race rules include no personal pacers and no personal lead bikes. Dogs are not allowed due to insurance requirements and strollers are permitted provided those participants start at the back. Bib pickup is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM with additional pick up and registration available the morning of the race at Westchester Lagoon.
A portion of race proceeds benefit Anchorage Young Cancer Coalition. Awards for top three male and female finishers use age-graded scoring so results compare across ages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
