About the race
The Trent Waldron Half Marathon and 10K takes place on Saturday, May 29, 2027, with the event base at Margaret Sullivan Park on West 15th Avenue and the start and finish at Westchester Lagoon.

The half marathon is an out-and-back course using the Chester Creek and University trails. The course is relatively flat with a gradual uphill on the outbound portion. Aid stations are located at miles 3, 5.5, 7.5, and 10. The 10K uses the same start and finish; its turnaround is adjacent to the Davenport Park ball fields just east of the Lake Otis underpass. The half marathon course is USATF certified, number AK25002FW.
A virtual option allows participants to run the half marathon or 10K on a course of their choice. Virtual participants are asked to follow pedestrian safety rules, use sidewalks where available, and run against traffic if no sidewalk or multiuse trail is present. Medals for virtual entries are mailed within 45 days.
Registration and bib pickup information is provided in advance. Bib pickup is scheduled for Thursday, May 27, 2027, 4:30 to 6:30 PM with location to be announced; same-day pickup is available the morning of the event at Westchester Lagoon from 7:30 to 8:45 AM. Late registration fees apply to entries made after May 21, 2027. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable. The event benefits the Anchorage Young Cancer Coalition. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers using age graded scoring. Dogs are not allowed; strollers are permitted but must start at the back.
