Trent Waldron Half Marathon and 10K - 2026
The Trent Waldron Half Marathon and 10K is an in-person and virtual event held on May 23, 2026, with the in-person race based at Margaret Sullivan Park at West 15th Avenue and Westchester Lagoon in Anchorage. Distances offered:

The half marathon course is an out-and-back along the Chester Creek and University trails, with the start and finish at Westchester Lagoon. The course is described as relatively flat with a gradual uphill on the outbound portion. Aid stations are located at miles 3, 5.5, 7.5, and 10. The half marathon course is USTAF certified (AK25002FW). The 10K uses the same start and finish; its turnaround is adjacent to the Davenport Park ball fields just east of the Lake Otis underpass.
Virtual participants may run the half or 10K on a course of their choice and are asked to follow pedestrian safety rules, including using sidewalks where available and running against traffic if no sidewalk exists. Medals for virtual entrants will be mailed within 45 days.
Entry and race policies note that race entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Bib pickup is scheduled the Thursday before the race and morning-of pickup is available. Dogs are not allowed at the event; strollers are permitted but should start at the back. Awards for top three male and female finishers use age-graded scoring.
