Trent Waldron Half Marathon and 10K
The Trent Waldron Half Marathon and 10K are paired road/trail events held in Anchorage with start and finish at Westchester Lagoon. The half marathon is an out-and-back course along the Chester Creek and University trails. The course is described as relatively flat with a gradual uphill on the outbound portion. Aid stations are located at miles 3, 5.5, 7.5, and 10. The half marathon course is USATF certified (AK25002FW).
A 10K uses the same start and finish, with the turnaround adjacent to the Davenport Park ball fields just east of the Lake Otis underpass.
A virtual option allows participants to run the half marathon or 10K at a time and place of their choosing. Virtual participants are asked to follow pedestrian safety rules and the rules of the road when sidewalks or multi-use trails are unavailable. Medals for virtual participants are mailed within 45 days.
Bib pickup is scheduled for May 21, 2026, and is also available the morning of the race at Westchester Lagoon. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Awards for the top three male and female finishers use age-graded scoring to compare performances across ages. Dogs are not allowed at the event. Strollers are permitted but should start at the back. A portion of race proceeds supports the Anchorage Young Cancer Coalition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
