Event Overview
The Tree of Life event takes place on March 22, 2026, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. It includes three distances: a 10K, a 5K, and a Pioneer 1 Mile Fun Run. This is the 7th annual edition of the 5K and 1 Mile races. A portion of the event's proceeds will go to the local VFW Post 3103 to support Tree of Life Christian Preparatory School.
Race Course and Terrain
All events start and finish at the 1st Day of Chancellorsville Battlefield parking lot on Germanna Highway. The course surfaces include gravel and dirt, featuring rolling hills and scenic views on a loop trail around the historic battlefield.
- 10K: This distance is a mix of trail and pavement. The route is an out-and-back course into the Chancellorsville Crossing subdivision, which includes a large hill.
- 5K: This course remains on the trail loop, turning around near a cemetery.
- Pioneer 1 Mile Fun Run: This is a shorter loop suitable for younger participants.
Walkers and participants with strollers are welcome on the course.
