Friday Night Lights 5k
The Friday Night Lights 5K is a running and walking event held at Trailblazer Park in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Scheduled as an end-of-school-year and Memorial Day Weekend activity, the race serves as a fundraiser for the Travelers Rest High School football team. The proceeds support the development of student athlete programs and school athletic resources.
Participants compete on a course that begins with a downhill mile before winding through local neighborhoods. The route concludes near the Trailblazer Park amphitheater and farmers market pavilion. For safety, the course features a City of Travelers Rest Police escort. The event is open to various participants, as both strollers and dogs are permitted on the course.

The 5k race utilizes chip timing, providing runners with live results. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in designated age groups.
