Tranquility Lake Trail Run
The event is scheduled for March 27, 2027 in Pelham, AL, at Oak Mountain State Park with activities centered at the Redbud Pavilion and around Tranquility Lake. It is organized by Southeastern Trail Runs and offers two loop-based trail distances.
The course is a roughly 3 mile loop that circles Tranquility Lake. Each loop has about 450 feet of elevation gain. The 6 mile option is two laps of the same 3 mile course. The route begins with a short 0.4 mile loop along Tranquility Road that circles the BMX track to spread runners out, then moves onto singletrack through the woods, emerges near the OMSP cabins, crosses Cabin Road, includes a short climb, and returns toward the BMX track to finish at Redbud Pavilion. The 6 mile runners pass the aid station at Redbud Pavilion between laps.
Event services include an aid station at Redbud Pavilion, food and beverages at the finish, and overall and youth awards for each distance. Oak Mountain State Park charges a $5 per-person entry fee. Registration-related dates noted in the event information include a last day to register and receive a race shirt of February 14 and a registration closing date of Wednesday, March 24 at 11:59 PM CT.
