Sam Lapidus Montclair Run
The Sam Lapidus Montclair Run marks its 50th annual edition on November 26, 2026, at the Levite Jewish Community Center, 3960 Montclair Road, Birmingham, AL. The event takes place on Thanksgiving and includes road race and virtual options.

Registration opens September 3, 2026. There is a guaranteed event shirt cutoff on November 10, 2026; remaining shirt inventory is distributed after that date while sizes last. Registration close dates vary by event.
The 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified with course IDs AL15009JE and AL15008JE. A portion of each registration fee, five dollars per runner, is donated to the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s of Alabama. The Levite Jewish Community Center reports it has raised and donated more than $100,000 to that organization.
Typical participation is about 1,500 runners. Packet pick-up is at the Levite Jewish Community Center: pre-race pick-up on Wednesday, November 25 in the main lobby, and race day pick-up in the Wood Gym on November 26.
