Ross Bridge Turkey Trot
The sixth annual Ross Bridge Turkey Trot features a 5K and a 1 mile kids fun run on Thanksgiving morning at Ross Park in the Ross Bridge area of Hoover, Alabama. The event starts and finishes at Ross Park and takes place on a course that runs on open streets.
Distances
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run (1 Mile)
Registration fees are listed for each event, and race day registration is available at Ross Park. Shirts are included with race registration if registration is completed by November 9; there will be no reorder after that deadline. Packet pickup is scheduled at Fleet Feet Birmingham on Tuesday, November 24 (10:00 to 17:00) and Wednesday, November 25 (10:00 to 15:00), with additional pickup at Ross Park on Thursday, November 26 (07:00 to 07:45).
Streets on the route will not be closed to traffic, so participants should stay to the left, follow street chalk markings for turns, and heed volunteers at intersections. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers of the 5K and to winners in each age group, with awards presented after the fun run. Proceeds from the event will benefit Grace Klein Community. Organizers seek volunteers to assist at course intersections. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
