Trail of Two Cities 5K
The Trail of Two Cities 5K is a public 5 kilometer run/walk between Ocean City and Somers Point. The point to point route follows the length of the Route 52 causeway and uses the lanes normally reserved for motor vehicles. The course begins at the Transportation Center in Ocean City and finishes at John F. Kennedy Park in Somers Point. Bus transportation is provided between the finish area and the start before the race and to return participants after the race. An awards ceremony follows completion of the event at JFK Park in Somers Point.
Registration opens February 1. Online registration is available, and in-person or race-day registration options are provided at specified Ocean City locations. Fees vary by registration date; the entry fee is non refundable and non transferable. Advance packet pickup takes place the day before the race at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center.
All proceeds benefit Ocean City Recreation Scholarships and Programs and the Somers Point Education Foundation. Awards include overall top male, female and non binary finishers and age group awards for the top three in these groups: 8 and under, 9 to 11, 12 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over.
