Trail of Two Cities 5K : Ocean City to Somers Point
The Trail of Two Cities 5K is a 5-kilometer point-to-point run and walk between Ocean City and Somers Point. The course follows the length of the Route 52 causeway and uses the traffic lanes normally reserved for motor vehicles.
Registration opens Feb. 1 and is offered online as well as in person on specified event days. Entry fees change as the event approaches; the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Advance packet pickup is available the day before the event at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center. Race-day registration and same-day packet pickup occur at the Ocean City Transportation Center.
Buses run between the finish area at John F. Kennedy Park in Somers Point and the starting area in Ocean City to move participants before and after the race. An awards ceremony is held at JFK Park in Somers Point after participants complete the course.
Prizes are awarded to overall top finishers in Male, Female, and Non-Binary divisions. Age-group awards are given to the top three finishers in standard youth and adult age brackets, including categories for 8-and-under through 80-and-over. Event proceeds benefit Ocean City Recreation Scholarships and Programs and the Somers Point Education Foundation. Course maps and past race results are published for reference.
