About the race
Trail of Two Cities 5K is a point to point run and walk scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026. The event covers a distance of 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) and follows the length of the Route 52 causeway between Ocean City and Somers Point, using the lanes normally reserved for motor vehicles. The start location is the Ocean City Transportation Center at 9th Street and Haven Avenue and the finish is at John F. Kennedy Park in Somers Point. Buses are available at the finish to transport participants to the start before the race and to return participants to Ocean City after the race.
Registration opens on February 1. Entry fees change by date: $30 through October 25; $30 from October 26 through November 4 for online registration; $35 for in-person registration or pre-packet pickup on November 5 and 6 at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center; and $40 for race-day registration on November 7. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Awards are given to the overall top finishers in male, female and non-binary categories and to the top three finishers in age groups that range from 8-and-under through 80-and-over. Net proceeds from the event benefit Ocean City Recreation Scholarships and Programs and the Somers Point Education Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
