Trail of Two Cities 5K
The Trail of Two Cities 5K Run/Walk is a point-to-point road event held on November 7, 2026. The course covers 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) along the Route 52 causeway, traveling in lanes normally used by motor vehicles from Ocean City to Somers Point. The start is at the Ocean City Transportation Center at 9th Street and Haven Avenue and the finish is at John F. Kennedy Park in Somers Point. Buses are provided at the finish to transport participants to the start before the race and to return participants to Ocean City after the event. An awards ceremony takes place at JFK Park after participants complete the course.
Registration opens February 1 and is available online, in person for advance packet pickup, and on race day. Registration fees are $30 through October 25, 2026; fees remain $30 through November 4 for online entries; in-person pre-packet pickup on November 5 and 6 carries a $35 fee; race-day registration on November 7 is $40. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Advance packet pickup is offered the day before the race at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center.
Proceeds benefit Ocean City Recreation Scholarships and Programs and the Somers Point Education Foundation. Awards are presented to the top overall male, female, and non-binary finishers, plus the top three in multiple age groups ranging from 8-and-under through 80-and-over.
