Trail of Two Cities 5K (Ocean City to Somers Point)
The Trail of Two Cities 5K is a point-to-point run/walk covering 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) between Ocean City and Somers Point. The route travels the length of the Route 52 causeway in lanes usually reserved for cars and finishes at John F. Kennedy Park in Somers Point. Buses are provided at the finish to transport participants to the start before the race, and buses return runners to Ocean City after the event. An awards ceremony is held at JFK Park after participants complete the course.
Registration opens February 1 and is offered online as well as in person at Ocean City locations. Entry fees follow a tiered schedule: $30 through October 25; $30 for the online window through November 4; $35 for in-person registration or pre-packet pickup on November 5 and 6; and $40 for race-day registration. Entry is non-refundable and non-transferable. Advance packet pickup is available the day before the race at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center.
Proceeds benefit Ocean City Recreation Scholarships and Programs and the Somers Point Education Foundation. Award categories include overall top finishers for male, female, and non-binary divisions, plus age-group awards for the top three finishers in standard youth and adult brackets.
