Trail of Two Cities 5K

The Trail of Two Cities 5K is a point-to-point road race held on Nov. 7, 2026, between Ocean City and Somers Point, New Jersey. The course covers 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) and runs the length of the Route 52 causeway in lanes normally reserved for motor vehicles. The start is at the Ocean City Transportation Center at 9th Street and Haven Avenue, and the finish is at John F. Kennedy Park in Somers Point. Buses are provided to transport participants between the finish area and the start before the race, and return transportation is available after the race. Proceeds benefit Ocean City Recreation Scholarships and Programs and the Somers Point Education Foundation.

Registration, packet pickup and awards

Registration opens Feb. 1. Fee schedule published by the organizer includes $30 through Oct. 25, 2026; $30 for online registration Oct. 26 through Nov. 4; in-person or pre-packet pickup registration on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6 for $35 at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center; and a higher fee for on-site registration on Nov. 7. Advance packet pickup is available Friday, Nov. 6 at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Awards include overall top finishers for Male, Female and Non-Binary categories, plus top three in multiple age groups ranging from 8-and-under through 80-and-over.
