Fast and the Furriest 5K Turkey Trot
Fast and the Furriest is a Thanksgiving morning running event in Ocean City, New Jersey, with start and finish at the Music Pier (825 Boardwalk). The program includes a 5K run, a 5K walk and a 1 mile kids fun run.
- 5K Run - chip timed; bib must be worn on the front, outside of all clothing
- 5K Walk - event is not timed
- 1 mile Kids Fun Run - chip timed; bib must be worn on the front, outside of all clothing
The 5K course runs on the Ocean City Boardwalk from the Music Pier south to 23rd Street for the turnaround, then back north to the Music Pier for the finish. The 1 mile kids loop runs from the Music Pier to 5th Street and back.
In-person registration and packet pick-up are offered the evening before at the OC Senior Center and at the Music Pier on race morning. Pre-registered athletes may receive a race T-shirt while supplies last. Awards for the 5K run include overall top three male and female finishers and top three male and female in multiple age groups; the kids run awards the top three male and female in youth age groups.
Additional notes: refreshments are provided at the finish, results will be posted online, the race is scored by DQ Events, pets are prohibited on the Boardwalk by ordinance, events proceed rain or shine, and there are no refunds, transfers, or credits.
