Event overview
Trail by Torchlight is a club winter trail and fell race held in December in Llangollen, North Wales. The venue is Dinas Bran Leisure Centre, Llangollen LL20 8TG. The event is open to runners aged 16 and over and is organised as a BS category fell event.
Course
The route is about 8 km (5 miles) with roughly 244 m (800 ft) of ascent. The course is waymarked and marshalled at key points. The start includes a flat section along the canal. There is one sharp climb up Velvet Hill; other climbs are rolling to gradual. The route includes downhill and faster sections.
Entry and requirements
Pre-entry and entry on the day are available with a stated entry fee of £6. A head torch is required. Teams and junior races are not part of this event.
