About the race
Run North West stages the Trafford 10K on 7 March 2027 in Partington near Manchester. The event is a certified, measured 10 km road race (course number 23/024) organised as a single lap that starts and finishes at Partington Sports Village.
The route follows scenic country roads toward Dunham Massey before returning to Partington and is held on fully closed roads. Elite athletes travel from across Europe to take part. Pacers are provided between 35 and 75 minutes, with pacer groups now released every 2.5 minutes from 35 to 70 minutes.
Facilities for finishers include a bespoke medal, an optional commemorative technical finishers T‑shirt, a post-race snack, drinks stations at the halfway point and finish, first aid and toilets, free baggage storage, and free high-resolution race images. Results are available immediately via Nifty Entries and competitors who provided a mobile number can receive a text message with their finish time.
Entry details and rules are published by the organiser: entry fees are listed at £28 for club runners and £30 for non-club runners, minimum age is 15, and entries close when capacity is reached or at midnight the night before the race. There are no on-the-day entries or an official waiting list. Prize presentations cover the top five male and female finishers (gun times); veteran prizes are emailed the following day and are based on chip times across V35 to V80+ age groups, plus the first U20. Transfer options allow a place to be moved to another person or converted to a virtual entry within a month; refunds are not offered.
