About the Event

The Trafford 10K is organized by Run North West. The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2026. The race start and finish location is Partington Sports Village on Chapel Lane in Partington, near Manchester.

The Route

The course is a single lap run on scenic country roads. The route heads towards Dunham Massey before returning to Partington. It is described as a super-fast course, popular with club runners and athletes from across Europe. The race has an official course measurement number (23/024) and is licensed under UK Athletics (UKA) rules.

Participant Information

The entry fee is £29 for unattached runners and £27 for attached (club) runners. UK Athletics members receive a £2 discount at registration. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. A technical finisher t-shirt is available for an additional fee. Race numbers can be collected in advance from the Run North West store (SK9 5EB) 2-3 weeks before the event, or on the day at Race HQ (M31 4ES). Detailed race day information is emailed to entrants 2-3 weeks prior.

The event has a cut-off time of 1 hour and 30 minutes due to promised road re-openings for the local community. Transfers to another runner are permitted at no cost, but refunds and deferrals are not offered.

Awards

Awards are presented based on gun times for the top five male and female finishers. Veteran prizes (from V35 to V85+ in 5-year increments, plus first U20) are based on chip time and are sent by post. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
