Toy Drop 5K/10K/15K
The Toy Drop is a road and bike-path race held in early December in Loveland, Colorado, at Berthoud Brewing, 1480 Cascade Ave. The event includes three distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
The race is presented in partnership with Realities for Children. Participants are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate at the start area; donated items are collected for distribution to local agencies that serve children in Larimer County.
Parking is available at the brewery and across the street off Cascade. Registration is handled online; cash or check payments can be processed with volunteer assistance. To be guaranteed event swag, registration by November 26 is required. Organizers order extra items and will provide alternative swag if inventory changes.
The event is scheduled to proceed in most weather conditions; lightning may cause delays. Awards are given by distance: the 5K and 10K list top three male and female overall and top three masters, plus top three in standard age divisions. The 15K awards the top five male and female overall. Promotional items mentioned for various distances include mugs, beanies, and gloves.
