Pelican Lakes Turkey Trot
The Pelican Lakes Turkey Trot takes place in Windsor, Colorado, on Thanksgiving Day. The event offers options for participants to navigate the course through the Water Valley area. The route begins and ends at the Pelican Lakes golf course parking lot, with the indoor post-race activities held in The Banquet Room at Pelican Lakes.

The event is designed to be inclusive, allowing both strollers and dogs on the course. Those taking part receive a long-sleeve shirt along with light breakfast snacks. Drink options provided include coffee, hot chocolate, and one complimentary beverage, which can be a beer, seltzer, or a non-alcoholic drink.
The race serves as a benefit for Athletes in Tandem. Additionally, organizers collect non-perishable food donations for the Weld County Food Bank during the event. Top finishers in the running category are eligible for prizes, which are presented during an awards ceremony.
