NCMC Turkey Trot
The NCMC Turkey Trot is organized by the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado and takes place in Greeley, Colorado on Thanksgiving. The event includes two distances and is open to participants of all ages. Proceeds support Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs and provide financial assistance to patients who otherwise could not participate in rehabilitation.
The event program includes:
- 5K USATF-certified scenic course
- 2K Gobler Trek fun run
Strollers and wagons are permitted on the race course when managed by an adult; those users are asked to start behind more competitive runners. Rollerblades, bikes, skates, scooters, and other wheeled items are not allowed for safety reasons. Due to limited space and many families with young children, pets are requested to remain at home.
Packet pick up is at North Colorado Medical Center, 1801 16th Street, Greeley, CO 80631; enter through Door 5 on the east side and walk through security scanners. Packet pick up is scheduled for November 24, November 25, and the morning of November 26.
Awards for the 5K include cash prizes for overall and masters finishers and pie awards for age divisions. The 2K includes awards for top finishers in age divisions. Registration fee for the listed events is $30. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
