NCMC Turkey Trot
The NCMC Turkey Trot is organized by the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado and takes place in Greeley at North Colorado Medical Center, 1801 16th Street. The event offers community running options and supports cardiac and pulmonary health programs.
Race options include:
- 5K on a scenic, USATF-certified course
- 2K Gobbler Trek fun run
Proceeds from the event benefit the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs and provide financial assistance to patients who might not otherwise be able to participate in rehabilitation services. The event is described as a Thanksgiving Day tradition for many families in Northern Colorado.
Strollers and wagons are permitted on the race course when managed by an adult; those using them are asked to start behind more competitive runners. Other wheeled items such as rollerblades, bikes, skates or scooters are not permitted due to safety risks. Participants are asked to leave pets at home because of limited space and the presence of many young children.
Packet pick up is located at North Colorado Medical Center. Enter through Door number 5 on the east side of the facility and expect to pass through security scanners. Registration fee is listed as $30 for the events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
