Tough Team 2026
The Tough Team 2026 is a multi-terrain running event organized by Tattenhall Runners in Cheshire. Held annually on the Friday in June closest to the summer solstice, this race has been part of the local running calendar for over two decades. The event centers around the Tattenhall Recreation Club at Field Lane, which serves as both the starting and finishing point for the participants.
The course covers a distance of approximately 9 miles and features a variety of surfaces both on and off-road. A notable feature of the route is the section known as the railway or the stairway to hell. The event is structured as a team competition where participants enter in groups of three. The final time for the group is determined by the last finishing member of the team, emphasizing collective effort and cooperation throughout the race.
The race is open to individuals aged 17 and older, with parental permission required for any participants under the age of 18. Registration and number collection take place at the venue prior to the event. Following the completion of the race, the Recreation Club provides facilities including food and a bar.
