Event overview

The Wrexham 10K takes place in Wrexham on Sunday 26th April 2026. The event distance is 10k and the route starts and finishes on Queen Street in the centre of Wrexham. The course includes town centre roads and a countryside section, with a mix of faster sections and some small inclines and good pavement coverage. Finishers receive a medal and event goodies. The minimum age to take part is 15 years.

Logistics and race day

Race headquarters and the start/finish are on Queen Street. Town centre car parks are available and parking is a short walk from the start/finish area. Roads on the route will be fully closed for the event; spectators are asked to stay off the course and are suggested to watch from Queen Street or from pavements. Organisers plan to provide one water station around the halfway point and water at the start and finish areas; runners are encouraged to bring a suitable bottle. Music will be played near the finish and a help desk will be available for last-minute questions. The race has a 90-minute cut-off; participants who fall behind the required pace may be asked to withdraw.
