Torrance Trot 5K Run/Walk
The Torrance Trot 5K Run/Walk is a community event held in Torrance, Pennsylvania, focused on supporting mental health awareness. All proceeds from the race benefit the Torrance State Hospital Patient Fund. The event aims to address the stigma associated with mental illness and foster community support for all individuals.
Participants can choose from different modalities and distances:
- 5K run/walk open to all participants.
- 1 Mile distance specifically for Torrance State Hospital residents.
- Kids fun run for children ages 9 and under.
The event features several amenities beyond the main races. Food trucks and various vendors will be present on-site. For younger participants, there are additional activities including face painting, games, and other children's activities. While the kids fun run is free of charge, participants in that category receive a participation medal.
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top finishers within each specific age group. Raffle prizes are also distributed following the conclusion of the race. The registration fee includes a t-shirt if the order is placed by the designated deadline of August 7th, 2026.
