Run the Runway 5K / 2 mile walk - Johnstown PA
Run the Runway is an event held on the airfield at 220 Fox Run Road in Johnstown, PA. The program is presented in partnership with the Pennsylvania Air National Guard and gives participants access to areas of the airport not typically open to the public. Static display aircraft will be positioned along the course for close-up viewing in a controlled environment.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K timed run
- 2 mile untimed walk
Online registration was open from May 15 through July 30 with a listed fee of $25.00 per participant. Participants who register after June 30 are not guaranteed an event T-shirt. Paper registration is available on race day at the venue. On-site registration will take place at 220 Fox Run Road.
Timing for the 5K is provided by Central Cambria Cross Country. Awards will be presented to the top three male and top three female finishers in the 5K. Proceeds from the event support Aerium, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on regional economic collaboration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
